What is chemical peel?
A chemical peel is a body treatment technique used to improve and smooth the texture of the skin, often facial skin, using a chemical solution that causes the dead skin to slough off and eventually peel off.
The regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkles than the old skin.
How does chemical peel work?
Chemical peels work with the help of acids within the peel that raise the acidity of the skin to around a 3.8 pH level.
Normally, skin has a pH of around 5.5, and changing the pH level chemically loosens the cells that form the “glue” between dead skin and healthy skin underneath.
This process promotes the growth of new, healthy skin cells. Benefits: Reduces uneven skin color, lightening dark spots. Smoothens rough texture and softens the skin Treats and controls acne.
Reduces the appearance of ‘open pores’ and acne scars. Gradually helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Removes damaged layers of sun-damaged skin. Reduces ingrown hairs. Smoothens razor bumps.
